This year on International Women’s Day (March 8th), Girl Connected and DJ Charlie B have come together to celebrate the occasion by presenting She Moves Us in partnership with PUMA Canada and Flow 93.5 FM.
Some of the hottest female DJs from Toronto (Jayemkayem, Killa Kelz, Bambii), New York (DJ Steph Cakes, DJ Saige, DJ’s Amira & Kayla), Los Angeles (Carisma), Montréal (Fafa Khan), and Philadelphia (Diamond Kuts) will be doing a four hour on-air takeover on Flow 93.5 FM, spinning 30 minute mixes during primetime 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. EST.
The event will raise money for Jessie’s Centre, a Toronto-based organization that offers services to pregnant teens and young mothers, or families facing enormous obstacles such as poverty or social isolation. Jessie’s Centre has amazing programs that provide the help needed. click here to donate.
She Moves Us
She Moves Us is PUMA’s new women’s brand campaign and platform, where PUMA celebrates and inspires women who move together to achieve and connect – through sport, values and culture.
Lola Plaku (Girl Connected) is the ultimate marketing maven and dot connector with a multifaceted career running Lola Media Group between Toronto and New York and is currently a Professional Development Mentor at the NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Her latest initiative is, Girl Connected, a global brand and mentorship program that seeks to empower determined women professionals with a multilevel platform that provides the necessary framework towards professional success, inspiration, and growth.
International DJ and music producer, Ajay Saxena, professionally known as DJ Charlie B has dominated the DJ world for over a decade, being affiliated with industry moguls including OVO/Drake, DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Murda Beatz and many more.
“We are thrilled to take this opportunity to highlight some incredible women DJ’s in Canada and abroad and offer them the chance to take over the airwaves on Flow93.5,” said Plaku.
