EMB Turns 15: R.O.Z & Friends Brings Winnipeg Hip-Hop Together

TLDR: The R.O.Z & Friends concert celebrates the EMB 15th Anniversary in Winnipeg on Sept. 28, spotlighting the city’s hip-hop legends and future stars.

On September 28, Winnipeg’s Park Theatre will transform into the epicentre of Canadian hip-hop as R.O.Z & Friends hit the stage to celebrate the 15th anniversary of EMB Music Group. More than just another rap show, this night marks a milestone for the label that carved its way out of Winnipeg and built a name across Canada’s music landscape.

Headlined by R.O.Z, EMB’s flagship artist and a voice that has consistently bridged the underground and mainstream, the event doubles as both a reunion and a glimpse into the future. Sharing the spotlight will be a stacked lineup of Winnipeg heavyweights and new school innovators. Expect performances from the melodic powerhouse LAVI$H, the city’s street anthem-maker YK The Mayor, breakout star YSN FAB, lyrical architect Max Winds, and more. Myazwe, Chris Bxnnxtt, Qway C, and DJs DMixx and Shemar round out a roster that screams hometown pride.

With R.O.Z & Friends, EMB Music Group promises a night that honours Winnipeg’s golden era of hip-hop while introducing fans to the artists defining its next chapter. Exclusive 15th Anniversary and FFO (Far From Ordinary) x EMB collaborative merch will be available on-site, offering die-hard supporters a piece of the movement. Fans can also snag raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes courtesy of local businesses, with winners announced during intermission.

The night is all-ages, making it a rare opportunity for younger fans to experience live performances from artists they’ve only streamed. For the older heads, it’s a chance to reconnect with the sound that helped put Winnipeg on the hip-hop map.

R.O.Z & Friends will be a community gathering, a time capsule, and a forward push rolled into one. Winnipeg hip-hop has always had grit, hustle, and undeniable talent, and, on Sept. 28, EMB Music Group and R.O.Z will remind the city, and the country, exactly why.
