After back-to-back victories in a Shade 45 weekly demo battle with her singles “Mind Ya Business” (produced by Toronto’s Beat Busta) and “Lost Friends” (produced by London, UK’s Cedes), RAXX continues to cement her place as a rising force on the scene.
The Toronto artist premiered the E.M. Lourde-directed “Thic Chic” in September, and just recently shot a new video with Montréal’s Victory Mic which premiered on his channel on Nov. 9. “Lost Friends” is also part of Victory Mic’s new “MIC PERFORMANCE” series which also features a ton of other dope MCs.
On top of that, RAXX has been upping her performance game, opening for Canadian legend Kardinal Offishall at the Fiddlers Green Festival, and more recently appearing on the lineup at the annual Cranium Festival in Ottawa. Just yesterday, RAXX took the stage at London’s Got Talent which featured special guests Divine Brown and JRDN.
It’s a great promotional run for the budding talent, and should culminate nicely with the release of her next EP, The Smell of Smoke, expected early 2023. Check out some of RAXX’s recent video releases below, and stay tuned for more information about the new project.
