Our Song of the Day is the hot new KB Kutz-directed visuals from budding star, Pilla B.
The Rexdale rapper has released the “Why I Ain’t Around” video in support of his latest album, 1YTD, which was released back in May.
Towards the end of Spring and the start of Summer, Pilla B hit the road with his team to promote 1YTD and run a series of listening parties in different markets. The majority of the footage was captured at these events including stops in Ottawa, Montreal, Chicago, Miami, and P’s hometown of Toronto. The footage was shot by KB, Miguel “The Society” DeBerry and Jordan Teodish.
I’m fairly certain my arm makes a cameo during the Ottawa footage, but this ain’t about me.
“Why I Ain’t Around” is the second video for 1YTD, following up on the street banger “You Ain’t Outside” and the “You Ain’t Outside (MIA MIX)” featuring Bruno Mali of Miami.
1YTD is expected to produce one more music video with “Be About It” scheduled to drop in mid-October.
