On the fourth anniversary of the passing of Pennsylvania-born rapper Lil Peep, his mother Liza Womack (aka Mama Peep) stopped by Montreality to discuss his legacy.
The conversation gives fans another inside look at Peep’s upbringing, and how he grew to become the a leading figure of the emo rap scene in the mid–late 2010s. Ms. Womack touches on a variety of subjects including Peep’s baby book, her own childhood, cartoons, her favourite songs, Peep’s poetry, his aura, love, the SoundCloud days, Taz!, and her message to Peep’s fans.

Lil Peep, born Gustav Elijah Åhr, died of an accidental fentanyl/Xanax overdose before a scheduled gig in Tucson, Arizona.
