Manifesto appoints Kiana Rookz Eastmond as Executive Director

Manifesto, the organization behind one of Toronto’s most notable arts and culture festivals, has appointed Kiana ‘Rookz’ Eastmond as Executive Director.

In this role, Rookz, is now the overseer and leader of all operations for the celebrated organization. She will also be responsible for supervising and directing day-to-day activity within the company to optimize growth and advancement.

Throughout her career, Rookz has held a number of roles that have allowed her to gain the skills and experience necessary to fill this exciting role. She is the owner of several businesses, including Sandbox Studios, one of Toronto’s most notable go-to creative spaces for audio and visual artists and creators.

“The city’s arts and culture scene is sitting at a pivotal point,” said Rookz in the official release about her announcement.

“Toronto is finally being recognized globally as a hotbed of talent. It’s our time and it’s about time we focus our efforts on driving and inspiring creativity and innovation while it is rampant and flowing. Manifesto provides the city with a powerful platform and channel to do this and I’m honoured to be a part of an organization that has and will continue to drive Toronto’s arts and culture scene forward.”
