The West Coast has a lot of really cool movements percolating just below visible surface that is spawned by a new generation of youth who are creating music on their own terms. Louis Rain is a young Vancouver talent who identifies first as a model, but upon further look as a really hype musician as well. (You can catch him most recently shot for Herschel’s online store.)
His recent release “Work” is the track that accurately gets across the energy of the youth on the West. It also introduces Louis as a talent that we should be paying attention to, along with other creatives in his circle like angst. Although this single maintains a simple chorus, Louis wields his bars with surprising intensity and depth. This is a grimy and heavy track in the best way possible, and you’ll definitely want to stream it below.
