Jorja Smith Releases falling or flying (Deluxe) Remix Edition
Jorja Smith, the critically acclaimed British singer-songwriter, has announced the release of the deluxe edition of her latest album, falling or flying. Building on the success of the original record, this highly anticipated release features a fresh reimagining of some of the standout tracks from the album.
The new collection introduces remixes by an all-star cast of producers and artists, each adding their unique flavour to Jorja’s captivating sound. Craig David lends his legendary vocals to the “Lately” remix, turning the introspective original into a new, stripped-back offering. “It was such a joy working with Jorja,” said Craig of the collaboration. “Her passion and love for music was felt in the studio reworking ‘Lately’. A beautiful song that I was happy to be a part of.” Also featured is Todd Edwards, a pioneer of the UK garage scene, who transforms “Make Sense” into a lively, rhythmic masterpiece.
Fans will also enjoy a fresh take on “Greatest Gift,” with both a reggaeton remix by Camp Habitat and a deeper, broken-beat refix courtesy of Groove Chronicles. Electronic stars, Nia Archives and Floating Points take Little Things to new heights with their energetic remixes, whilst the global smash of L BEATS’ “Little Things x Gypsy Woman” remix, sees a mashup perfectly fuses Smith’s sultry vocal with a house classic.
Speaking on the deluxe album, Jorja Smith states: “This deluxe version of falling or flying is so special. Each remix brings something different to the song and I can’t wait for everyone to hear these tracks in a new way.”
Since the release of falling or flying, Jorja Smith has continued to cement her place as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary music. The album has been praised for its bold exploration of new sounds, blending personal, introspective lyrics with infectious beats, and the deluxe edition promises to take that journey even further.
Of the many British voices in music today, Jorja is among the most commanding, writing at a pitch of intensity and urgency that few can match. Over the past six years, since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Lost & Found, she has been celebrated unanimously across the world for her evocative song-writing, powerful delivery, pure emotion and unbridled talent as a young woman navigating her way through life.
Over the last few years, it’s been a reflective and transformative transition into her mid twenties for her. She’s been able to step into herself and evolve as a songwriter and a woman despite an ever-changing musical landscape. Jorja Smith is reminding herself (and us), that whether things are up or down, she’s very much in control. In fact, as she grows and holds herself, she’s fully thriving.
Jorja will make her return to North American stages in 2025 with 12 live dates across the US and Canada – see below. Tickets go on sale Friday October 18 at 10AM local but dedicated fans can grab tickets early by RSVPing at https://laylo.com/jorjasmith/m/falling-or-flying for pre-sale access starting on October 15.
