Same Thing: Staten Island’s Jordan Barone releases video debut

Barone’s solemn, yet playful artistic melody of “Same Thing,” focuses on the isolation founded on trepidation in moving forward with love due to past failed relationships.

Same Thing: Staten Island artist Jordan Barone releases video debut

Our weekly segment Submission Sundays features “Same Thing,” the debut video from Staten Island, NY-based contemporary R&B and hip-hop recording artist, Jordan Barone.

“From the mind of the young director, Whipalo (PnB Rock, Leeky Bandz), comes a double-feature music video that explores Jordan’s ability to master different vibes/genres.”

“Same Thing” is a heartfelt ballad of doubt within one’s love-life that is bone-chilling yet soothing all at once, whereas the other track, “Used To,” is a proclamation of the artist’s passion, which is translated energetically to the listener.

The autobiographical narrative echoes a fusion, encompassing the singer-songwriter narrative, all rooted in hip-hop. And now, without further ado, stride through New York’s streets in Barone’s new dual-genre video.
