HipHopMadness on “Logic: An Example of How to Kill A Rap Career”

YouTube channel HipHopMadness recently published a new video looking at the career of Maryland-born rapper Logic. Check it out below along with the channel’s description of the release.

At almost every turn, Logic has found himself as the butt of the cultural joke. Ridiculed for everything from his insistence on discussing his biraciality to his willingness to present himself as an open book to an inherently cynical audience, Logic has been written off by no shortage of fans over the years. But even as the world took from him with one hand, it gave with the other.

Through it all, he’s retained a passionate fanbase that’d basically ensure that every time that he dropped a record, it skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Or at least that was the case until very recently when, after years of weathering PR disasters and public sleights from others, Logic’s stock appeared to take a notable drop.

But before we get there, we need to look at when Logic’s path through hip-hop began to veer off from the norm.
