In true 6 God form, Drake delivered has highly anticipated new studio album For All The Dogs today, Oct. 6, at 6 a.m. Excitment had boiled over among fans, who have undoubtedly stayed up all night or set their alarm to take in the 23-track release.
Although a new album had been teased a few times, For All The Dogs was officially announced in late June during Drake’s promotions for his new poetry book with songwriter Kenza Samir. A QR code found on newspaper advertisements for the book (TITLES RUIN EVERYTHING) brought the curious to a website with the message: “I made an album to go with the book… They say they miss the old Drake, girl don’t tempt me. For all the dogs.”
In August, Drake released the official For All The Dogs cover, designed by his son, Adonis, but until just recently fans were still guessing on when to expect the project.
For All The Dogs, which was A&R’d by Kevin Durant (with Mr. Morgan as the project’s A&R co-ordinator, is available now on Apple Music, Spotify, and other digital platforms via OVO Sound.
