Canadian DJ Rosegold’s Female Powerhouse Showcase: A recap of the best performances at SXSW 2023

Women’s History Month is an important time to reflect on the incredible accomplishments and contributions of women throughout history. It is also a time to celebrate and support the incredible women who are making waves in the present day. One of the most inspiring examples of this support can be seen in the music industry, where female musicians are lifting one another up and helping each other succeed.

“DJ Rosegold’s showcase was a reminder that when women support each other, incredible things can happen.”

This past weekend, Toronto’s very own DJ Rosegold put on a sold-out showcase in Austin at SXSW which featured performances from some of the most talented up-and-coming female musicians in the industry. From Lebra Jolie to Pap Chanel, Jadagrace to Kallitechnis, Deetranada to Big Bratt, Luciia, and DJ Honey Bee, the lineup was packed with immense talent and raw energy. The event was a true celebration of the power and creativity of women in music, and it was inspiring to see so many talented artists coming together to support one another.

DJ Rosegold’s showcase was a reminder that when women support each other, incredible things can happen. The music industry has historically been male-dominated, but events like this one are helping to change that. Female musicians are proving that they are just as talented and creative as their male counterparts, and they are building a community that is based solely on support, encouragement, and collaboration.

As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, let’s take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress that has been made in the music industry, and let’s continue to support and uplift the talented women who are breaking down barriers and making history every day. DJ Rosegold’s showcase was just one example of the amazing things that can happen when women come together, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these incredible artists.
