Chief Keef’s BET vlog: 10 years since being banned from the network
On June 25, 2023, Chief Keef made a long-awaited return to the BET Awards stage after a decade-long ban. The anticipation surrounding his performance sparked curiosity among many, leading them to wonder about the reasons for him being banned from BET’s network. In 2014, the Chicago star explained to a fan on Twitter that he had been blacklisted by BET for failing to turn up for an episode of 106 & Park: “BET banned me along time Ago Becuz I didn’t attend 106 Cuz I ain’t fuckin feel like it! I was gettin high.” Chief Keef was apparently feeling slighted for not being invited to perform at that year’s BET Awards event, which featured Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg, among others. Check out his new GloTV vlog to see how Keef’s return to BET went down.
