Cardi B Fires Up Kamala Harris Rally in Milwaukee

TLDR: Cardi B fires up the crowd in Milwaukee, making a powerful endorsement of Kamala Harris, slamming Donald Trump on reproductive rights and his “hustling” of the American people.

Cardi B: Kamala Harris Milwaukee Rally

With Election Day just around the corner, Milwaukee was buzzing as hip-hop icon Cardi B joined Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign rally Friday night, delivering an unfiltered, fiery speech that took direct aim at Donald Trump’s policies and urged voters to back Harris. Cardi’s appearance marked a milestone—an unexpected yet impassioned political endorsement from an artist who’s known for her chart-topping hits and candid opinions.

Cardi B, who initially had no plans to endorse anyone this cycle, changed her stance once Harris became the Democratic nominee. In an Instagram post made in July, she wrote, “been told y’all Kamala should’ve been the 2024 candidate.” She didn’t mince words, addressing the Milwaukee crowd with a blend of passion and intensity as she shared her vision for an America led by Harris.

As reported by Teen Vogue, “Cardi said she does not take ‘lightly the call to show up’ and endorse Harris. She told the crowd that she did not have faith in either candidate while Joe Biden was still running for re-election against Trump, but has since changed her mind when Harris stepped into the Democratic ticket.”

In a nearly 11-minute speech, Cardi highlighted the immense pressures women face in leadership and in workplaces across America, drawing parallels between her own journey and Harris’s.

“Women have to work ten times harder, perform ten times better, and still people question us on how we got to the top,” Cardi stated. Her words hit home for many as she continued, “I can’t stand a bully. But just like Kamala, I always stand up to one.”

The Milwaukee rally featured other A-list performances by GloRillaFlo MilliMC Lyte, The Isley Brothers, and DJ Gemini Gilly, yet Cardi’s message about solidarity, resilience, and support for Harris left an indelible mark.

As the 2024 election season reaches its climax, the turnout in Milwaukee underscores a broader movement, as more artists and celebrities back Harris in a bid to bring a different kind of leadership to Washington. Whether Cardi’s impassioned endorsement will sway undecided voters remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Cardi B isn’t afraid to use her platform for change.
