In just a few days, the video for “Dancing In The Flames” by The Weeknd (now going by his name Abel Tesfaye) has racked up over 35 million views on YouTube. It’s an acoustic version of The Weeknd, Max Martin and Oscar Holter-produced single that was released a few days earlier.
“I can’t wait to see your face / Crash when we’re switchin’ lanes,” Abel sings on the soothing track. “My love’s beyond the pain / But if I miss the brake/ We’re dancin’ in the flames”
The video comes ahead of Abel’s sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow album which is available now for pre-order. It’s the final instalment in Abel’s After Hours and Dawn FM trilogy.
“The acoustic take on the first single from Tesfaye’s upcoming studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, was accompanied by a sedate official video in which the singer croons the song over subtle acoustic guitar while seated in a darkened studio and wearing a hooded robe covered with golden patterns.” – Billboard
The Anton Tammi-directed “Dancing In The Flame” is especially notable in that it was shot by Erik Henriksson on the new iPhone 16 Pro which was announced by Apple just over a week ago.
You can find “Dancing In The Flames” by The Weeknd on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms.
