Lie Again: Giveon heads to Genius to break down Don Mills-produced hit

Californian R&B star, Giveon recently stopped by Genius to discuss the lyrics and meaning of his latest single, “Lie Again.” The track was produced by multi-Platinum Toronto beatsmith Don Mills, who has also worked with artists like J. Cole, Juice WRLD (RIP), Alessia Cara, and Maroon 5. Giveon was actually discovered by Canadian producer Sevn Thomas in 2018 shortly after the release of his debut single, “Garden Kisses.” He’s had several other ties to the Canadian scene since including a massive feature (alongside Daniel Caeser) on the 2021 Justin Bieber single “Peaches.” His latest single is available now on Spotify, where it has racked up over 5.9 million streams to date.
