Eminem Introduces Barack Obama at Kamala Harris Rally in Detroit

TLDR: Rapper Eminem introduces Barack Obama at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit, where the former president rapped ‘Lose Yourself’ and energized the crowd.

In a memorable moment at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit, Eminem introduced former president Barack Obama, and what happened next electrified the crowd. Eminem, a Detroit native, spoke passionately about his love for Michigan and encouraged the crowd to vote. “Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever,” the rapper said.

“As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me, and going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it’s important to use your voice, so I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please.” – Eminem

However, it was Obama who stole the show after taking the stage. The former president, known for his love of music, couldn’t resist quoting one of Eminem’s most iconic songs, “Lose Yourself.”

“I have done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous,” Obama told the enthusiastic crowd. “But I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem.” The crowd erupted as Obama then launched into the lyrics: “Palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there’s vomit on my sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.”

Obama’s playful performance had the audience roaring in support as he continued with the famous lyrics. “I’m nervous but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs but I keep on forgetting…” he rapped, seamlessly blending humour with a powerful message for voters. The event, held just weeks before the November election, saw both Eminem and Obama rallying behind Vice President Kamala Harris and encouraging Michiganders to turn out on Election Day.

Obama concluded by saying, “I love me some Eminem,” and Detroit’s passion for both politics and music was on full display. As Eminem put it: “Use your voice, and vote.”
