Cartel Madras previews The Serpent & The Tiger project with third single “FEAR & LOATHING”

Calgary hip-hop duo Cartel Madras continues to tease their forthcoming project The Serpent & The Tiger with their latest single, “FEAR & LOATHING.” The new song features production by Toronto’s Dom Dias who has previously teamed up with the Cartel Madras sisters for “DRIFT” back in January.

“The song is an exploration in duality, a major plot point in our story, and our most ambitious filmmaking experiment yet,” explained the duo in a written statement.”

“We teamed up with Toronto producer Dom Dias again to bring our audience a cinematic track, and dynamic music video that pushes us both as artists.”

The “FEAR & LOATHING” visuals, powered by Jashan Makan and thotnation, is the duo’s third vide of the year, and follows the self-directed “Dream Girl Concept” which came out in late May. That release has been viewed over 45K times to date on YouTube, and the single just recently cracked 35K streams on Spotify. “FEAR & LOATHING” has already been viewed over 3,500 times on YouTube, with tons of comments from fans who seem to be loving the creative ambition from the sisters.

“DRIFT,” the Tyris White and Jide-assisted “Dream Girl Concept”, and the latest drop have all been gradually hyping fans for their upcoming August 19, 2021 release, The Serpent & The Tiger.

The album will be the third installment of the Project Goonda trilogy with guest appearances expected from from Backxwash, Airospace, Tyris White, Jide, and Shiro Jackson.

You can stream “FEAR & LOATHING” on Spotify and other various digital streaming platforms via Sub Pop Records / Royal Mountain Records.
