Kid Rock, RFK Mocked Over Embarrassing Workout Video

TLDR: A new Kid Rock / RFK Jr. workout video is drawing widespread backlash, with critics calling the MAHA stunt embarrassing and politically tone-deaf.

There is campaign messaging, and then there is this embarrassing workout video featuring Kid Rock and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The 90-second clip feels less like public health outreach and more like a parody skit gone wrong. Posted to X by RFK Jr., it shows the two men posing shirtless, pedalling stationary bikes in a sauna, playing pickleball, and drinking whole milk in a hot tub — all under the banner of “Make America Healthy Again.”

It’s the same brand of “healthy” that has driven policy discussions in states such as Florida, where lawmakers have sought to limit vaccine mandates in schools and other public facilities.

As The Independent reported, the reaction online was swift and incredulous. Alyssa Farah Griffin wrote, “What the [bleep] did I just watch?” The outlet detailed the now-viral montage, including Kid Rock flashing his middle finger on a stationary bike and RFK working out in blue jeans. It’s a look many viewers found baffling rather than inspirational.

USA Today described the clip as a “wild workout video” that plays “more like a training sequence from one of the ‘Rocky’ movies than a government PSA.” The piece underscored how the video leans heavily into macho aesthetics while promoting exercise, raw milk and RFK’s MAHA slogan.

For Kid Rock, the workout video marks another embarrassment in a short span of time. Just 10 days ago, his so-called alternative Super Bowl halftime show was widely mocked, especially when stacked against the massively successful Bad Bunny performance. Kid Rock was also accused of lip synching during his set, which only amplified the perception that the spectacle was more cosplay than concert.

If the goal was to inspire Americans to rethink their health habits, the rollout missed the mark. What was billed as a motivational push instead plays like spectacle without substance.
