One such artist is newcomer JARETT, who recently dropped off his official single debut, “Travel.” The uplifting Diamond Style-produced banger, which serves as JARETT’s official introduction to the electronic-pop space, just recently cracked 50K streams on Spotify with no signs of slowing down. and solidifies his place as one the West Coast’s hottest new exports. The rising Vancouver-based musician’s intoxicating vocal flair, which croons with the hypnotic warbling of Mavado, is set to act as a catalyst for what looks like a monster 2021 for the young singer-songwriter.
The accompanying lyric video for “Travel” features a collage of overseas and resort-like destinations, which meshes perfectly with the single’s vibrant and inspirational lyrics. It’s a song needed during this pandemic when everyone is fed up with being stuck inside.
“The world is in lockdown and people want to get out of their comfort zone,” JARETT explained.
“I want people to feel like there’s something to look forward to after all of this is over. Just because we’re here now doesn’t mean we’ll be here forever.”
“Travel” is just one of many big singles to come from the Toronto-raised artist who has spent a significant time himself travelling across the Caribbean.
