G. Dep: The rapper who confessed to a forgotten murder after 17 years
helloyassine dives into the story of former Bad Boy Records artist, G. Dep, who walked into NYC’s 25th Precinct on Dec. 15, 2010 to confess to the murder of a Queens man, John Henkel, in 1993. G. Dep was eventually convicted of a second-degree murder charge on April 17, 2012 and was sentenced to 15-years to life in prison on May 8, 2011. He’ll be eligible for parole in 2025.
